I’m Thomas Wade. I’ve spent a couple of years working in marketing; writing content, social media, sending newsletters, adwords, landing pages, all that business.
I’ve dabbled in writing, having written a bunch of short stories, plays, screenplays, and I’ve got a novel I’m wokring on (just like everyone else).
I encountered a real blockage with trying to realise any of these works. I either don’t have the money, time, network, or audience to do anything myself.
So I decided the best course of action was to get into standup comedy. You can publish a short story online and no one will read it. Read it out at an open mic and you’ll reach six people – and the same 15 comedians you see every week.
This website will serve as a central hub for everything I do. I figure a proper hosted website I run is better than a blog and better than a bunch of social media profiles. I have a little more control over what happens on here and I’m not beholden to any algorithms.
